I’ve been giving some thought to the idea of creating self configuring networks for home and small office use. Even extending the concept in what would be required to route traffic on an internet scale.
Using the term Mesh Network in reference to a self configuring and self healing networking topography, how could one deal with the idea that no node can be trusted except your own.
Things that need to be dealt with.- Message Security
- Preventing Message Tampering
- Preventing Unauthorized Reading
- Determining Message Delivery
- Identifying Hosts
Let alone the usual issues of a self configuring mesh network…
The idea of providing the hardware and software so that neighbors can connect their neighborhood together, then neighborhood to neighborhood, making a completely detached network.
Question is what is the use? Why local content of course.
