I am currently in Israel. This past weekend (Friday and Saturday) was occupied by Yom Kippur. This unfortunately prevents me from seeing the sites of Tel Aviv during my weekend down time while working out here, along with a lot of amusement. To pass the time I figured I’d buy Sam & Max on Steam to pass the time. Unfortunately my credit card seems to be getting denied, and I’m unable to determine if it is Steam being protective of a US Visa being used over seas, of if my Visa company is being equally paranoid.

So I guess I’ll sit here and do some reading on Small ISV’s and End user programming

Damn Steam making me be personally productive.

Scott,

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

Unfortunately Israel is country banned and users are unable to purchase games if they have an IP address from Israel. You should be able to make your purchase if you travel to another country. You can also have someone back in the US purchase the game to your account, and then you can download the game through Steam.

Summary, Boo-urns.
